New Adobe Lightroom updates… Kind of a bummer

It’s a brand new year and as 2010 starts, people are presented with new and ever advancing technology. Take for instance the digital camera.

For beginners, photography is a great hobby. The opportunity to go out and about, taking everything from sweeping landscapes, to stunning shots of speeding racing cars. On vacation, exploring new countries, or just having fun at the beach. However, sometimes it’s nice to slow the pace down – and the sheer pleasure of capturing a single flower, or a vast field of flowers, should not be ignored.

Just a few years ago if you wanted to start a business in freelance photography there was way too much equipment to buy.

Ten years ago, I would have had a hard time answering that in a positive manner. The reason for that statement is that until then, a roll of film was sent in to a facility with a darkroom and chemicals, where the photo, slides, or movies were taken into that darkroom and rinsed in a chemical developing solution in order to process the film and make the pictures.

Now with the advent of digital, getting in closer is open to all.

One of the most common problems photographers experience, as with writers, is the lack of inspiration. Coupled with this is creativity. These go hand in hand. An inspired photographer is a creative photographer and vice versa. The ability to find a source of inspiration is the gold at the end of the rainbow. If you can find it you’re home and dry.

While children make excellent subject matter for photographs, they can be difficult to capture for the photographer because of their short attention span and a natural tendency to act up in front of strangers.
